Spring has Sprung

I guess that Southern California does have seasons.

We just have them at the wrong times of the year. As I mentioned previously, this year we had Fall during Winter , and now this.

Check out these pictures taken today from my backyard.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't daffodils Spring flowers??? They certainly aren't Winter flowers, I know that much. You can't blame the flowers, though...it's been, on average 80 degrees the past couple of weeks. I think our screwy weather has confused my tulip and daffodil bulbs.

I juat noticed some little daffodil leaves peeking out of the ground here. It reminds me that Spring is around the corner.

They are a March flower to me.....they bloom in mid to late March here in the Mid Atlantic. They are so pretty because they stand out against all the brown and leafless trees! They are the first things to bloom and then the Forsythia, which is bright yellow too!

I must say that I'd love to be in California right now. I live in Minnesota, and I'm ready for the snow and cold to be gone!

On another note, I love your blog design! Can you reveal your "secret"? How/where did you get the cute layout? If you want to leave an answer here, I'll check back! If you'd rather not, that's O.K.
